aaa.jpg Donna Douglas aka Elly May Clampett passes away at 81 :(

I caught an episode the other morning when Jed turns to Ellie May and says, "Donna, go upstairs and get changed" First blooper that I have ever caught watching tv.

Golden/Silver age of television up to the mid 70's.
Plenty to keep a young guy's interest but plenty left to the imagination with these ladies! These shows really fit in with the times.

Ginger and Mary Anne, Jeanie, Elly May, the women of Hee Haw and Petticoat Junction and the rest.

Eye candy and sexual innuendo comedy for the Adults. Simple plot lines and comedy for the kids.
You never had to be careful back then with young kids watching TV.

Today's no talent reality type women like the Kardashians and the like wouldn't have been able to make it back then in show business.

I always had a crush on Barbara Eden (since her "manicurist" episode of The Andy Griffith Show"). I actually met her once in the early '90's when she held the elevator for me to get on, at a big hotel in L.A....a very classy woman.
I don't think there are any in the current crop that can hold a candle to any
of these women.
