Re-entered the modern times today after living in 19th century style for 20 hours.

Dinner last night was canned chili heated on the woodstove and eaten by oil lamp light.

I'm liking tonight a whole lot better.

Actually things could have been much worse, the 100' tree that blew over missed my house by 5 feet. A Noble Fir I think. It layed down right between a cedar and the back of the house, the base was about 50' away and it stretched all the way to the east end of the house. It didn't even ding up the gutter very much. Amazing.

last night consisted of a combination of the gas grill, the weber, and the generator. the weber to cook the meat, the gas grill to cook the fajitas, and the generator to provide power to watch the gaternationals. all in all not to bad out here in redland:thumbup:

Generator to flush the toilets. Power out for 12 hours, great to have a new generator hooked up to my 1,000 gallon propane tank.
