The standard 12v battery dies, goes flat, and you can't get into your car to charge it.
Good job Ford, Tesla.

The 12-volt battery debacle hasn't been an isolated issue with just Tesla. Some Ford Mustang Mach-E have turned into "electric bricks" because of a software issue that would drain the 12-volt battery.

Poor design implementation.

As he pointed out it would cost $1 to add the connector for the charger, and better yet would be something to make sure the 12 V battery stay charged.

I saw that vid yesterday, didn't watch all of it (TL;DR) but it just occurred to me now that there is supposed to be a way to open the doors if the batteries are dead/disconnected?

This is basic stuff - when you have everything depending on juice to power it, you provide a fail safe fallback option.
