I'm looking for 1 to 2 people to join me on a tour of these 3 pits with the DNR Rec Manager for Elbe Hills and Tahoma on June 4th. We're discussing potential improvements to these sites and I'd like to include someone from the area who is interested in giving some input and help in our joint efforts to save these places. Excavating experience or background is a plus, as we will be considering what it would take to shape good shooting lanes.

Elbe Hills, Stoner Pit

Elbe Hills, Scott Turner Pit

Tahoma, Lake Creek Pit

If you are local (within an hour?) and would like to get involved, and would be available on Friday morning 9 AM on June 4th, post up a note. We just might have something good here. We'll know better on the 4th.

Thank you,
Bill

Last call for anyone who would like to help plan this area. I have 3 others who'll join me so far.

We meet the DNR Rec Mngr, Joe Chavez, this Friday the 4th. We're meeting at 9 AM in Ashford.

We'll go to Lake Creek Pit, then go to Stoner Pit, and then Scott Turner Pit.

If anyone else would like to join and give input, please do. Let me know and I'll send you the meeting address.

Thanks,
Bill Cogley

Wish I could attend Bill but I have been spread too thin the last few months. Thanks for all that you do. :s0155:

We will see you this Saturday up in Darrington. It should be a hoot... :D
If you're camping Friday night, I'll see you then. I should be at the Darrington pit about 4 or 5.

The Constitution Bat is complete and currently being shipped to Trash No Land!

This $400 bat, #33 and signed, is hand drawn, hand carved and hand finished by current active duty Navy Corpsman, and artist, David Cogley of Northwoods Carving. (My "dog in the fight", is that David is my son! But I still paid full price!) 1f642.png

This will be a special free raffle prize to one active service military member of the AFI (Armed Forces Initiative), only at the cleanup event in Elbe Hills State Forest, in Washington State, on Oct 8th, 2022. The AFI is a group within the Washington Chapter of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers. Odds of winning is going to be really really good!!!

Trash No Land appreciates our service members, whether active duty, veteran, wounded or didn't make it home. We love those who are willing to work as a team to protect our freedoms and uphold the Constitution of the United States. So, this is a show of appreciation for their service.
Good luck to one of you, AFI members!

Come join the event! Free BBQ lunch and other Free prizes for all volunteers! Plus we all help to save another good place to shoot!
