Oh, and yeah, I had to log out to see who you were responding to, because apparently I am too spicy for some folks![]()
Get it, , we are in Silverton, as far as full bore grocery stores; we have Safeway and Roth's, everything else is 11 or more miles, and still a Safeway, LOL , we do have several convenience stores so if you ( like me) can squeeze by on Jo-Jos , Busch Light and corndogs----your set!I shop at the grocery store that's closest to me. I'm not going to spend an extra 10-20 minutes each way to save 13¢/lb on bananas or 41¢ on a Gatorade. I don't really care what the prices are compared to other food places just like I don't care what gas prices are all the way across town. I buy gas when I need gas where I happen to be when I need it.
Frugality is great. Frugality taken too far is how you end up eating canned cat tuna because it was a dime cheaper than "people" tuna.
Hey, psst, psst. If they're out, hit me up. I give you good deal. $1.30 each.Headed out to Winco soon, geez.... I hope there's some eggs left for me to purchase.
Eggs less than $5/dozen dozen't seem too bad.
My wife just got home with eggs from Costco in Eugene. She paid $8.79 for a two-dozen carton of large brown eggs. I noticed is said "soy free" on the carton??? Why would they need to say, "soy free"? Hopefully they are "gasoline free", "arsenic free", "plastic free", etc. as well.Costco here is at $12 per 2 dozen now but the local egg lady down the street is still kicking down eggs to my wife at $4 a dozen.
