Here's an e-mail I just received from the White House. It was titled "Shameful". I agree...the e-mail is shameful. Full of lies and half-truths. Hate and veiled threats. I think all these guys are doing is further alienating those that wish to uphold the 2nd amendment.

It's very long. Contains the 90% lie. Says it was a "minority of senators" that blocked the bill. Throwing the victims in our faces. Using emotional arguments. I highlighted the biggest lies, distortions, emotional pleas, use of victim props, etc.

Didn't a majority also vote for conceal carry reciprocity?

Both amendments failed because of the procedural steps Harry Reid took.

The words and actions from the Executive branch are shameful.

The author of the Affordable Care Act calling the NRA liars is monstrous chutzpah - just one more example of Barry's infinite ego.

There was a lot of filler. Wanted to just cut to the heart of the matter.

My question is really if 90% of the people are really in favor of this why are politicians afraid to vote for it for fear of losing there seat in congress. Is another outright lie by or president and the democrats.

Yeah, he's taking this rather personally. The next 3 years will be non-stop gun control.

I doubt it will even go anywhere but I replied to the email and agreed that the White House response was shameful and called them out on their lies. So if I die soon you'll know why. :D

Ahh, I feel so unappreciated. I didn't get the spam mail for the white house (this time) guess they deemed me an unworthy voter.

4% of Americans think that gun control is an important issues. Is it me or is that a huge difference from 90%.

Gallup: Only 4% of Americans Think Gun Control is an Important Problem | CNS News

    Am I missing something?

The question asked was about what they thought was the most important problem. There could be other important problems.

I seriously doubt that 90% number is anywhere near accurate. But since when have statistics needed to be accurate or even obtained in a scientific manner for them to be used?

At the bottom of the email it essentially says, "don't reply I this email, instead reply here: xxxx". Your email went nowhere.

Pretty ironic for him to claim that since the Dems passed his healthcare reform using a special voting that isn't commonly used.

Meh, I'm going to answer anyway. Nevermind the legality or constitutionality of a given law, it's all about enforcement. If the system enforces the law, it's a law regardless of anything else. Right or wrong. Sames goes for laws that are not enforced. They might as well not exist at all.
