Definitely don't feel like you "have" too get a 3.5 but why the hell wouldn't you if your buying a new shotgun? Common sense would suggest if your wanting to hunt ducks, you might very well hunt a goose someday too and 3.5's are dang nice for them... Yes not absolutely necessarily I would agree but we're talking about the same cost class purchase. To spend the same money for something less useful is asinine.
