to convert it to 6.5 Grendel it will require a new barrel(either type I or type II), a type I or II bolt/BCG(depending on the barrel) and 6.5 Grendel magazines.

I've been looking into the Grendel cartridge and apparently it works in the AR-15 and using the AR-15 standard magazines however you can't stick as many in there

iver tried it. you can put 4 in a 30 round mag before it starts feeding inconsistantly.

E-lander makes the best grendel mag for the AR platform IMO.
