As much as I hate to say it....

It is wishful thinking.

Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives on two charges, one for perjury and the other for obstruction of justice but he was acquitted by the Senate.

Which was a classic example of what happens when government investigates/prosecutes government but it looks good to the masses to show they did something about an elected officials abuse of power.
