Wouldn't be surprised if he has rubbed elbows with the Mafia. Atlantic City Casino, Boxing etc.
He's no more crooked than a lot of others in Business and Politics. And he's stayed out of Jail too, that takes brains!

His success qualifies him and I feel he'd be a good center right President which we need after Obama, but his old School sexist anti-PC attitude isn't working with a lot of women. I hope he steps aside for a Carly or maybe Walker or whoever does good in the next couple of debates cause he'll lose the General Election for sure.

Let's see... Trump lives in NY; develops, owns and operates goff courses (where many business deals take place); has to play politics with all sides so as get approvals for his numerous developments; which moves his company forward and benefits his many employees by providing paychecks; as well as benefiting the many cities and states he operates in via his tax bill.

And so here he is pictured with other New Yorkers including former NY mayors on one of his goff courses.

And somehow you are trying to make a political point against Trump with this pic?
I am sorry what part of New York is Bill Clinton from?

And, I thought Trump was the no-nonsense guy who doesn't negotiate or take prisoners. He and Bill, not only are golf buddies, but he has been a long time friend of the Clinton family. Of course, as with most politicians (and businessmen) he will have no problem sticking a knife in the back of former buddies when it benefits him.

The irony of the picture is that he is playing golf with the most anti-gun politicians in recent history and those who have done more to oppress us and remove our gun freedoms than any other. None other than Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Prez Billy Bob Clinton, who signed into law the 1994 Assault Weapon Ban.

Also, so many are convoluted by Trump's patriotic , freedom loving tough talk, they didn't realize how the former gun control advocate was very unfriendly to our gun freedoms as recently as the 2012 election campaign. Even in the 2012 presidential election, Trump openly supported gun control at a high level that many here would consier treasonous for a REpublican candidate. Now, suddenly, he has changed his heart and is a gun-toting, freedom loving guy..

Let's talk a look at his gun control stance in the 2012 election:

Trump position on Gun Control

• Donald Trump generally opposes gun control.

• He thinks that every law abiding citizen should have a gun if they want to.

• Trump believes that assault weapons should be banned, "who needs them except criminals and police?"

• He wants a longer waiting period for hand guns, rifles and shotguns. We should be able to tell within 72 hours if a person has a record or mental issues that would prohibit ownership.

So, now Trump believes that ordinary citizens should be allowed "Assault Weapons" in addition to criminals and police? Also, will I have to now wait 3 days in order to buy my rifle , shotgun or pistol if Mr. Trump becomes president? After all, as late as 2012, this is what he was advocating.

Did anyone forget when Rudolph Gilulliani suddenly became pro-gun and came to the realization that all citizens deserve "assault weapons" when he made his presidential run in 2012?

Is Amnesia hitting everyone or has anyone also forgotten Donald Trump's support of President Obama during the Sandy Hook Massacre?
http://heavy.com/news/2012/12/donald-trump-barack-obama-sandy-hook-tweet/

Trump supported Obama's potential gun control legislation in 2012 as well.

Trump's outspokenness and belligerence use to sway against what he probably would have referred to as the time as "Conservative Lunacy":
http://downtrend.com/71superb/donald-trump-is-not-just-a-clown-hes-a-liberal-anti-gun-clown

Now, of course, he swings the other way.

From Donald Trump's book, The America We Deserve:
Here's what he wrote about gun control:

It's often argued that the American murder rate is high because guns are more available here than in other countries. After a tragedy like the massacre at Columbine High School, anyone could feel that it is too easy for Americans to get their hands on weapons. But nobody has a good solution. This is another issue where you see the extremes of the two existing major parties. Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions. I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today's Internet technology we should be able to tell within seventy-two hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

Bush has lost lots of big donors. They are hedging on Kasich now. I think next year it will be Kasich/Fiorina vs Biden/(Vilsack, Hickenlooper, or Wesley Clark). Hillary is going to fall out when Biden enters and with his benefactor gone, Trump will lose interest and give some bullbubblegum statement about, "he's got better things to do."

Kasich is wishy washy on 2A. He has kinda the old "hunting" mindset, but has also added in statements about protecting yourself and your family. However, biggest hit against him is he voted for the 94 AWB and voted against it's attempted repeal in 96. He also voted for an attempt to federally require background at all gun shows in 99.

Now, more recently as Governor, he has been pretty pro 2a. He also said publicly that after reading the evidence from the FBI that the AWB was completely ineffective he understands that any sort of banning would be pointless.

While not a champion of 2A like some of the candidates, I think it's safe to assume he won't be a threat at the minimum.

Is there a difference in Trumps stated position on 2AR's and his historical record? Think I'll take a look to if the NRA website has created a POTUS candidate list and where they rank them.

Bear in mind that rapid conversions sometimes do happen... I went all the way from "OK with AWB" to "Repeal NFA" in one neck-snapping 180 in the early 2000s and have only grown firmer in that position with time.

Not just that, once I develop my machining skills I'd rather build from a blank or flat than buy from an FFL. Suck on THAT, "Ghost Gun"-phobes... you used to have a weak ally, then YOU drove me to the other team, and I'm FAR happier on this side of the fence p***ing back at you!

So true.
I've gone from as a teen being totally ignorant of gun laws, maybe even vaguely thinking handguns were somewhat illegal and not for most civilians. Not a lot of guns around me growing up so I don't remember exactly my thoughts. My dad had a pistol hidden in his closet I know anyway. I used to play with it!:eek:

Later wised up to legalities but thought Brady Bill 3 day waiting period was maybe a good idea. I'm still not as against that as most of you all would be. First time buyers at a dealer anyway, cooling off period they call it.

After Sandy Hook I briefly had a moment where I thought, maybe mag restrictions? That thought quickly disappeared!

At this time I'm pretty much solidified as being against Registration of any kind, against any mag restrictions and against SB941 and it's BG check for all private party transfers.

It took me a while but the gun grabbing Progressives have let it be known that they have an end goal to disarm most Americans.

They converted me and maybe Trump too!

You are too easy bud and are failing badly in your sad mission of knocking out Trump for President.

I don't care about your point of view or your long winded error filled rants, vote for whoever you want.

Call them rants, but I have specifically stated facts that I have yet to see you refute.. Sticking your tongue at me for my criticism is fine, you are entitled to do that.

Ok fine, you win , Bill Clinton is a REAL New Yawker, like the rest of them, with his house in Chappaqua , NY. The Clintons also own homes in other states and the mansion in New York was bought so that Hillary (Not Bill) could run for the Senate of New York state.

Anyhow, go ahead and deny the friendship that Trump has had with the Clinton family throughout the years if you like. Also, go ahead and deny the fact that Trump, as recently as 2012 supported an Assault Weapon Ban and even backed up Obama after the Sandy Hook massacre. People mistakenly think Trump was pro-gun for a long time, when in fact he only magically became pro-gun when his GOP prospects became more viable and he saw the aftermath of what happened to his buddy Giulliani for his long anti-2A track record. Trump is not stupid, but far from a full 2A Supporter, in my opinion. Deny the fact that Trump utilized illegal immigrant labor for several of his housing projects, which now he will deny responsibility for. Does that kind of remind you of his old friend Hillary, who said she had nothing to do with wiping out those emails? I guess the fact that Trump has donated to the Clinton foundation and supported the Clinton's financially in the past also will be denied by you..

You seem to like to pick and choose which facts you find relevant. Anything that may counter this dignified and honorable image of Trump as being the savior of America will be met with disdain and hostility by you. Yes, of course, my criticisms will be reduced and denigrated as rants rather than be objectively discussed and/or refuted.

So, outside of proving that Bill Clinton is a New Yawker, can you refute any of the other points that challenge Trump's credibility and authenticity as a noble and respectful GOP presidential candidate?

I understand why you like Trump and can even respect why you support him. However, I just don't want you and many other Americans to be misled by another big talking, wheeling/dealing , fake politician who wins over their heart and souls only to get crushed and scourged in the end, when the big wig takes the office and backtracks and all those big, mighty words.

Trump has a CRAPPY track record compared to many of the other Republican contenders, but is a much bigger talker and has a lot more media popularity. I wish big words could equate to good candidate.

Here's some more facts about the Republican party's new prodigy.. I wish people would elect politicians on merit, rather than popularity and big egos and big words, which Trump has much of the latter and not much of the former:
http://www.politico.com/story/2015/06/donald-trump-donations-democrats-hillary-clinton-119071

Clinton, the Democratic front-runner and former New York senator who had some say over policy that could have impacted Trump's vast business dealings, received donations from both him and son Donald Trump Jr. on separate occasions in 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2007, according to state and federal disclosure records.

Trump has also been generous with the Clinton Foundation, donating at least $100,000, according to the non-profit.

In another sign of their closeness, Clinton attended Trump's 2005 wedding to current wife Melania Knauss at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, along with the likes of Katie Couric, Billy Joel and then-"American Idol" judge Simon Cowell. (According to People, Clinton had front-pew seating. Though Bill missed the ceremony itself, he did show up to the reception.)

She wasn't the only Democratic beneficiary of Trump's wealth. Trump donated $5,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and $20,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 2006 cycle, effectively buoying the election prospects of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, respectively.

Just $1,000 of Trump's money in the 2006 cycle went to the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The last time Trump considered a White House run in 2011, reporters seized upon the fact that he has given most of his money to Democrats and Democratic causes, according to records.

IMO:

Trump is doing what needs to be done as a businessman. The purpose of business is to make money. When you make money everyone wins.

I honestly believe that his last endeavors and which Dems he supported was all for financial gain. (Don't you remember him admiring that?)

He is losing (well not making) money like he used to in today's economy. Even a 4 year run or hell an 8 year stint in the WH would bring his own personal businesses back up to par if he has the balls to do what needs to be done.

Bring America back to a producer not consumer, get the economy rolling and by default his service related businesses flowing again with money.

If he has to go in as anti this, pro gun, I don't need your donors I bring in 400 million a year of my own income.. I won't be bought (and holds to that)...

Meanwhile being a hardass and holding congress to the fire...

Then so be it.

I hope Biden runs, the comic relief would be genius.

Yeah, imagine someone tossing the appropriate reaction to Hairplugged Buttplug's snickering at a debate...

"Are you IN-FREAKING-SANE?! My fellow Americans, do we really want to entrust the safety of our children to The freakin' JOKER?"

I only have one reservation... in 2000, he still claimed to support an "Assault Weapons" ban--if he's "evolved" from that position I'd like to hear from the source what changed his mind and when.

He's saying the right stuff now... but that's not what we said way back when he wrote "The America We Deserve." People *can* change, it's just that so frequently it's only words not backed up by deeds... and thus they seldom *do* change. That said, I'm willing to give the man a chance, but as ol' Desi used to say when playing Ricky Ricardo he "got some 'splainin' to do"...
