Granted, it's been awhile since I posted anything. Still, it's one of my happy pastimes to peruse the classifieds. The wife refers to it as my version of porn. She's right. Seems like there hasn't been a lot of new steel (or poly) on the boards lately. Any speculation?

This isn't the board to sell things, unless you want your thread crapped on by people with an entitlement attitude. People are probably just tired of it here. I still browse the classifieds, but it's not my first choice.

I'm letting the classified ads air out (in terms of buying) until used Glocks are no longer worth $650. Doesn't mean they aren't worth that, as obviously some... person (?)... is willing to pay that. Just won't be me.

Things will calm down, prices will drop (as they have on AR's), and things will pick back up a bit...

I was pretty much figurin' the same.

This is a good point. When the panic subsides and people realize prices are falling, they are waiting for things to normalize.

Despite what you say, and I'm not disputin' it, NWFA is still my first choice. There are other restaurants, but I prefer to order from this menu.

It seems like the handgun classifieds are getting a little better as far as material and pricing goes.I feel pretty stale at the moment I have no trade material, nothing I am willing to sell, and nothing I
must have.

If you click on your state,I believe you are getting the same page as last week.
You have to just go to the appropriate section (handgun/rifle) and go through all the ads.
Washington ads aren't showing up if you do the "search"

General rule is if you are selling - whatever you are selling is overpriced crap that no one wants and you should be happy that anyone is even interested enough to lowball you.

Now, buying? Well you have found a precious gem - get on your knees beggar. How dare you make 'an offer.'

For instance, a seller wants $950 for an item here for more than a month. I offered $850, then $900. Oh no sir, seller wants $915, not a penny less. HAHAHA. I mean, that $15 means a lot apparently. I passed.

I do love the classifieds though because I learn a lot about various handguns and rifles.

Right now, the State selections are broken (they were stuck on 3/25/2013, but now appear to be using 4/8/2013). Anything after that time can be seen by selecting the upper level HANDGUNS link instead. I know Joe was aware of the problem but not sure if he thought it was fixed and it isn't or what.

Funniest thing I've seen in the classifieds over the last few months? People saying, "I'm valuing my item at pre-panic prices, and expect you to do the same". That is usually followed by saying they are valuing their used Glock with one ten round mag at $700 and want to trade for your Colt or Noveske AR (no Bushmaster or S&W's need respond), as it's only worth $700 as well...

Figuratively speaking, I have no issue with you pissing on my head, just don't tell me its rain...

Ohh, and just letting some of you who may not have been buying guns for very long. $625 is not a great deal for a used Glock...

It would be nice to have the classified areas for handguns and ammo cleaned up. There is a lot of stuff still listed that has already been sold. And a lot of ads that are out of date. Would be better if anything that has been sold can have the ad deleted.
And any ad over 30 days over should be deleted and would need to be re-listed if still for sale. Would make it a lot easier to look through the ads.

I agree its just patience vs stupidity I picked up a brand new generation 4. for Glock 17 for 525 yesterday at a gun retailer so why pay 100 more used on the forum. also I agree with the ammunition comment thought about a new revolver yesterday but realized I won't be able to shoot it until the end of summer or later
