My wife's family are farmers back in Ohio. This commercisl hit home for me. Dodge or not.
My wife's dad has a 100 acre farm. Works full time at a honda plant then comes home and takes care of the farm full time. He comes home from work sleeps in his chair for a couple hours and back to work.
Had the same farm house since the 60s. Guns behind ever door in the house. And tractor porn next to every chair. Watches either old westerns ( where white people with bad makeup or mexicsns play indians) or the farm livestock auction channel.
Even with a limp from a damaged hip, he scared me when I first met him. I was shaking even as a man asking him if I could marry his daughter.
Quiet guy. Quiet in the way you know he's sizing you up. Asks you meaningful questions, but only answers with a sound. Hardly words.
That commercial was made for men like him.

I really enjoyed it until the end when it turned out to be a commercial. What else was it going to be (other than a commercial) during the SuperBowl at $4,000,000/minute? Oh well, I guess I got caught up in the moment. For a moment anyway.

you can order a truck pretty much anyway you want it, it doesnt have to be all plush, with leather, power windows, ac, and all that. My great uncle just bought a new ford and all it has is ac. he drives back and forth from Arizona, towing a trailer.
