No, if I can afford to get the slide milled and buy an optic, I can afford taller irons too.But how many people do you see that run a dot with stock height sights?

Batteries fail, seals to keep moisture out fail, electronics fail, red dot lense can crack... good ole iron sights don't have these problems.
Personal defense, KEEP IT SIMPLE.
So you carry a rock then. Is it one of those newfangled sharpened rocks, or just a traditional 'found weapon' type deal?Batteries fail, seals to keep moisture out fail, electronics fail, red dot lense can crack... good ole iron sights don't have these problems.

Some do actually. I for one, however I really like the LPVO concept and have shot a few and would consider one - if I had something to put it on!People would still be running irons instead of RDS and LPVO on their carbines

I wasn't saying you directly. I was implying that I see it pretty often where people run an optic and leave their Glock plastic iron sights on the gun.No, if I can afford to get the slide milled and buy an optic, I can afford taller irons too.
Not being sensitive, I know it happens, probably.I wasn't saying you directly. I was implying that I see it pretty often where people run an optic and leave their Glock plastic iron sights on the gun.

I've never seen it though.
I did just pull the sights off one once, but that was strictly a range gun while it was like that. Recently I've had them milled so that the RDS sits far back, and then a new dovetail cut for the irons just ahead of that. Works great for me.
Definitely not a summer gun.
LOL
Me neither.I guess I don't, because I don't know what that means.
I've had several done by several outfits, I don't remember which was which now. Maybe Glockmeister or ???And who did that work?
If they can do the milling, they can cut out the existing dovetail and add a new one. Depends on whether they want to I guess. I like it a lot.Looks like hers is going out to ATEI this week for install and suppressor height backup sights.
Same outfit that did my EMP.
