That is super interesting, I would really have not considered a bear head to be "deflect a slug" hard, but it makes a lot of sense.

I watched a video someone posted here today of a 155mm artillery round being deflected by a watermelon, seriously. So it's possible.

Head shots on bears are silly. Place a slug in the boilermaker and call it a day.

Friend of mine just got his bear using bait and he went to a local bakery distributor and got a ton of expired donuts and said it was like crack to the bears.

My brother used cheap dried dog food, fryer grease, and molasses and didn't have very good results.

I will need the exact location of the expired donuts. I am a former LEO and will decide what is expired and what is not!

In Vietnam, firefights in the bush often resulted in no enemy casualties because the .556 rounds could deflect off wet and angled leaves, especially the ones that had big leaves. I'm not a botanist, so I don't know what they were actually called.
