Last I heard, from my understanding, 114 is still on a complete hold thanks to Judge Raschio in Harney County - with the latest update to that him blocking the background check 3-day release "loophole" just a few weeks ago.Does anyone know what is happening with 114?
It's called a retainer. Attorneys get stiffed all the time by client (used to), so they have you pay up front at least a portion. When you spend that (like they did) you pay again.When the bill arrived for a total of $66,161.82, (over the $60,000.00 he had already been paid
Are you paying someone for their experience to handle the case, our just paying a suit you can micro-manage? Asking for a friend. If you didn't have a level of trust and comfort level with the attorney, you should not have hired them.On Dec. 7th Kaempf, with no consultation with his clients, (which include several Oregon Sheriffs) took actions that were unwise and costly.
You are often paying for more than one person each day. Standard practice. But it would not be surprising if one person worked a 20-hour day to prepare (so they could be first to file a lawsuit).It included charges for over 20 hours on a single day.
You should really drop it...Misleading thread title. There are no honest lawyers.
