RL26 is much slower burning than H4350 and seems to be at its best, and gets higher velocity, in larger cases vs bore, using heavy for caliber bullets. For example, I can get 3000 fps in a 270 with 150gr bullets while I can barely get to 2750 fps using the same bullet with H4350. Same with the 7mm Rem Mag and 160gr bullets. 3000 fps is easily doable with RL26 vs 2750 with H4350.

If using lighter weight bullets in those same cartridges, I would use H4350.

I'm trying to go with more heavier bullets 180gr to 220gr. So I'm still trying to figure out which how each behaves.

Got any experience with H1000, US869, WC 760, RL-17, magpro or Retumbo? Lol.
Hey there. I know your post is from November but thought I'd let you know about a load I use in my Remington 700 .300 Win Mag.
175gn Sierra BTHP
Remington 91/2 Mag Primer
86gn US869.
Yes US869 isn't that versatile as it is a bit too slow for lighter weight bullets but I am very happy with it using the 175gn.
At 100yds I'm making a clover leaf hole. Only thing I've started doing differently is I now use a LEE Factory Crimp Die and I've also had a muzzle brake fitted.

Meant to add the load is slightly compressed giving good load density. Pressure is good primers aren't flattened with the edges still staying slightly rounded.
