Craigslist find but new to me and over twice the size of the "18 gun" Sentry I had. Went and picked it up today and right now my back is telling me exactly how old I am. And if the guy that offered him a half lb of pot in trade is on here, I think the seller is a county sheriffs deputy. :D

Yukon Gold?
Thought that was maybe some kind of new strain of POT!

LMFAO

I am blessed with a wonderful wife and great kids.
Yeah, I got some toys and almost got more, but I can't run a budget deficit like the government.
I buy without asking, and make no effort to hide my purchases. I was rearranging the safe the other night, she sees all the guns laid out and says, "wow, you have a lot." More than I need, definitely.

I bought some lead from a member here, who texted me his address.
My guess is she saw it on my phone.
Saturday night, my wife asks me, "honey, is there anything you're not telling me?"
me: No, why?
her: I was wondering if you're keeping any secrets.
me: Do you have something specific in mind? (thinking of the used Rem I just bought, or the packages that come in from Brownells and Nosler).
her: No, I just wanted to hear if you are hiding anything from me.
me: Honey, a long time ago you asked me if I watch porn. The reality is, guns are my porn. I think about them and spend money on them, way too much. Guns and zombies (xbox).
her: You had to ruin it by saying zombies...

A bakers dozen brown boxes of 5.56mm and 2 pair of Darn tough wool socks.
Love the wife! :D the small stuff that really counts!

Oh yea......
and a "Tesla S"

Yes, it was a huge reach to get there, from a 10 year old Prius.
2 weeks in ................. zero regrets (or emissions).
Best car I have ever owned!
Thank You Elon Musk!
Finally a new century and I found some light.

Home, here in sunny Oregon - has DIY install 42 Solarworld panels (10 KW) making 10 times my annual electric use for 4 years now, with my solar feeding my neighbors.
Installed not for off-grid independence, but recognizing co-dependence.

No longer part of the oil commuting Dark-side.

All treats "made in America", feeding Americans - Goodness what a 'Regan'-esque concept!
A gun toting tree hugger. Imagine that... :p

Moved everything into the new safe today. Not bad, 21 rifles, 8 handguns and 5 suppressors in a 22 gun safe. Looks like I'm going to need a second one....

This is an outrage! That's an ARSENAL! Since you're obviously some kind of right wing nutball I'm going to have to place you on ignore! :D

That doesn't include the shotgun in pieces awaiting repair and the revolver at S&W's Performance Center. Not gonna lie, even I was a little surprised at what I've amassed. Nowadays my C&R is no longer works for having cheap guns shipped to my home, so the collecting has slowed a bit.

I believe I have fallen behind :D
And actually never heard of the mirrorless camera system...still using the old Nikon D80 and Droid Max...the later of which actually takes pretty good pics.
Thanks for the heads up

Well, it has actually only been the last couple of years that mirrorless cameras have really started to take off and become more popular. It has been mainly Panasonic and Sony that have been promoting the new technology. Canon and Nikon have only sold really small mirrorless compacts so far: the Canon EOS-M, and the Nikon 1 series, both of which have not become popular in the USA, but are selling better in other nations.

Panasonic has all of their many Lumix G series cameras, along with the awesome LX100 and FZ1000 models. Sony has their Alpha series cameras which includes the A6000, and the large sensor A7 series cameras, as well as their fantastic RX10 and RX100 Cybershot series cameras.

Sony and Panasonic have really been showing much more innovation in recent years in their new camera designs, compared to Canon and Nikon.

I have pretty much switched to all Sony mirrorless now. I use a RX10 and my new A6000 for still photography, and I also have a Sony FDR-AX100 camcorder for shooting video.

I still have my old Nikon, though, which took this photo of my new Sony Trio. The A6000 is by far the most affordable, selling for only $550. The other two are quite pricey, and cost me $3,000 for both of them.

Guess I'll be fixin' my old one

There are many affordable mirrorless cameras now. My Sony Alpha A6000 is only $550. Sony's even smaller Alpha A5100 is $498. A Panasonic Lumix G7 is only $599. The more compact Panasonic Lumix GF7 is $460. A Canon EOS-M10 is $449.

I only sunk so much money into my expensive Sonys because I shoot way more photos and video than I do bullets. Yet, I've spent far more money on guns.

Go figure. o_O

Don't forget a old Prius driver:p

My Prius will turn 9 years old in 3 weeks. Still runs great. Still running on the original battery, and getting over 45 mpg on the highway, and 37 mpg in city driving. Not quite as good as what I used to get, but most car owners would die to have those numbers. Never had to do anything beyond ordinary maintenance to it too.

The car has been absolutely trouble free.

My next door neighbor was so impressed with my Prius, that he bought the larger Prius V two years ago when he decided to get a new car.

But the real question is: Do you drive it like a normal Prius driver? 5 mph under the speed limit in the left lane?

But the real question is: Do you drive it like a normal Prius driver? 5 mph under the speed limit in the left lane?

No, I am an extremely defensive driver. I have to be. I pretty much stay in the right lane and drive the speed limit there. Changing lanes a lot increases your chances of being in an accident.

The Prius does not do well at all in crash tests. So I cannot afford to get into an accident.

Here is a photo of a Prius crash test. My Prius actually has a POOR crash test rating:

The driver of this Prius below was involved in a 6 car accident. Every other driver in the accident survived. But the Prius was knocked off the road, and into a ditch. One can sort of recognize that it is a Prius, but just barely:

So there is actually a downside to owning a Prius: there is a chance that you might not survive an accident.

That video is total B.S. Completely invalid and idiotic. Anyone who believes such nonsense is so totally gullible and naive.

First off, all that nonsense about the Prius doing environmental damage is totally false, and was completely discredited many years ago. It was concocted in a report by a private Detroit auto industry marketing consultant by the name of Art Spinella. Spinella never provided citations for his data in the report, nor did he ever reveal who actually paid to have the report created. Since his report focused on claiming that the Hummer H2 was more economical and did less environmental damage than the Prius, many suspect that GM paid for the report. Spinella has since past away and his company no longer exists.

But his "Dust to Dust" report about the Prius lives on, and people continue to quote it as being fact, when it is most certainly not.

The Pacific Institute has an Integrity of Science project that works to expose attempts to use bogus science to reach invalid conclusions. They issued a scathing report of Spinella's "Dust to Dust", ripping it apart. You can read the report here:

http://www.pacinst.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/21/2013/02/hummer_vs_prius3.pdf

And I did not buy my Prius to race around a race track. I bought it for real world driving. And for that, I get 45 mpg when I go on a highway trip, and 37 mpg in normal driving around town.

Compare that to the official EPA 17 mpg city rating the BMW M3 gets, and the EPA 26 mpg highway rating it has. Plus the BMW M3 costs $40,000 more than what I paid for my Prius 9 years ago.

Please don't be so gullible as to believe everything that you see on TV or the Internet. I have news for you: It is not all true.
