A friend gave a Dickson Cheyenne, .38 spl, double action revolver to my 14 year old daughter. It's missing the ejector rod and the barrel is a bit loose. Probably not worth much but it is "hers" so I need to get it fixed.
I have found a barrel with the ejector rod on GunBroker.
If I buy this barrel and take it to a gunsmith, will he be able to fit it to my revolver without machining? What I'm wondering is does 'tightening' a barrel require shims {cheap} or machining {expensive}?
If you have parts for this gun, I'd be happy to buy them from a member here rather than someone on an auction site.
