Well duh - outlaw guns and yeah, the rate of guns seized will go thru the roof initially. That doesn't really count if you are trying to gauge the effect a ban has on gun "crime" because much of the seizures would not have happened before the ban - unless you are going to go in and do an analysis on that.

Also, for any law, good or bad, you have to look at the impact over a number of years, not just a few - which would be what pro-gun people would be saying if the crimes with guns had gone down instead of up.

Not a very useful article IMO - unless you are just looking for a blurb to confirm your own viewpoint.
