My family settled in Lakeview back in the 1880s. One of the buildings in town is named after the family. Hereford (we spell it different now). So very familar with your town and have been there many times to visit and train at TRO.

Former wife who died in 1990 of cancer roots was in Lakeview. Family name
was Wells. Think her Dad Norman but not certain. Brothers Jim and Larry

Not sure if there is a connection, but one relative with a nickname Fudd.
Always wanted to get over that way to hunt and fish, but somehow never
made it. Most likely most of the older family are gone now as it has been
18 years or so now. I would think that there is still plenty of high desert
open land on that side of the mountains.
