I'm always pleased to hear a Democrat complain about the firearm stance of a judicial nominee. It gives me hope they'll actually defend the 2nd Amendment from the bench.

It bugs me when Kavanaugh (same with Gorsuch a year ago) is described as a conservative judge. NO! He is a constitutionalist, an originalist, someone who takes the constitution seriously. Professionally, at least, Kavanaugh probably doesn't care about liberal/conservative politics. He cares about what the 13 states thought the constitution meant when they ratified it.

Kavanaugh isn't a conservative. He may be one in his personal life, but as a jurist he is a constitutionalist.
