Progunners have to be vicious in their political and personal attacks on the anti-gun radicals because the latter has a very thick skin. You can see that the wicked witches of Mult. Co. are domestic terrorists seeking to destroy 2A rights. They project on to law abiding citizens that these citizens are the victimizer, then, consequently, discredit the pro-gun activist that cites accurate social and behavioral science research on the matter. Regardless once the pro-gun activist is discredited it does not matter what facts are argued--you have been discredited.

The anti-gun activist is a resentful hater of gun rights. Attacking their character is the way to go to discredit their veneer of gun truths and junk science gun statistics. The antis will not attack the source of gun violence in America--gang and drug turf warfare--thereby attaching gun violence to the law abiding gun owner.

I had an article somewhere about the DL for cars vs none for guns argument I posted here some time ago.
It was like.... O.K. lets treat guns like cars! You can drive/have guns State to State. You can buy a car/gun with no background check or waiting period in every State. You can have use of a car/gun at the age of 16 etc. etc.

It went on and on and made some good points. Of course taxing, insuring and restricting a Right like having a gun just like driving and owning a car would suck in so many ways!

But the anti-gunners would absolutely HATE the extra liberties gun owners would have if guns were treated like cars! It's a stupid argument.

BTW, you wouldn't see a law proposed by Progressive Dems about confiscating a mans car if he had a restraining order against him like they got with guns now would you?!?

Actually, with Progressive Dems that law might get out there

Because yeah, no one drives a car or hunts and fishes without a license. That never happens.

And no one has ever explained to me how the government knowing who has a drivers license that they have legally issued has ever prevented someone from running over someone with a car or getting a DUI.

Whenever someone states firearm licensing as an option I always ask if they are also in favor of licensing for the practice of free speech or religion. When they say "Of course not!" ask them why not? Its an easy argument to make and puts anti-gunners immediately into full back peddle mode.
