We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
Might I inquire how you came by that gun? My brother had one a lot like it with a very similar scope. I shot it a fair number of times over about 15 years, late 60s to early 80s.. It disappeared when his ex son in law who had borrowed some of his guns had a run in with the law. Those 550s are a blast to shoot. I even took it to a gun shop when it started stove piping and would burst off 2-3 rounds in the late 70s. It came back shooting fine. I gave it back to him a few years later and it was lost ca 2000 as I recall. Thanks for sharing the great pics.
I got in in a group buy not too long ago. It's solid with a clear scope. One of the very few semi autos which will fire short, long and long rifle. Remington designed it with a floating chamber, pretty ahead of it's time.
