Why won't it work with a 4th gen? I have a KKM drop-in 9mm conversion barrel for my G22 4th gen, and it works fine. I can't find info on their website either way.

Not sure either way other than what I was told by local gun store. Anyone who knows please chime in.

Any idea how old it is? I called KKM, and they said all of their barrels produced in the last 11 months to a year are compatible with all generations, but older ones may not have the half moon at the front of the spring block machined to a large enough radius to assemble it correctly with the 4th gen spring.

It was made before that...maybe 2003.

Ok, thanks. I think I'd have to try it in my gun before gambling on it, and I'm not planning a trip to Seattle anytime soon. Someone should snap it up; it's the part needed to convert a G22 into a decent hunting sidearm (allows use of the Double Tap 180 gr hard-cast rounds).
