Of course they don't count self-defense instances where the attacker wasn't killed

Of course not -- that wouldn't support the narrative. They would rather generate "facts" by subtle data selection.

So per this study, most cases of firearm use for self defense does not result in death? Love published studies that work with incomplete data sets.

Look at gun Deaths. Now take out Suicides. Next Take out justified homicide (police shooting, Self defense, ect). Now subtract Gun violence from innner city Drugs/gangs.

What you are left with is a small number of accidental deaths and non drug related gun crimes.

Cars Kill 10X the amount of people, so we should ban those. Or better yet, Limit the gas tank to 3 gallons, they can't go over 20 MPH and require a background check and 10 day wait period to buy one.

Typical M.O. with the end goal being the elimination of firearm ownership rights through increasingly restrictive legislation, legislation whose justification is supposedly to be found in these fake "studies".

First, make the main claim that is to stick in the minds of an uncritical public:
... self-defense homicides accounted for far fewer firearm-related deaths than accidental deaths and suicides ...
Then, cherry pick data to support that claim:
The study did not include nonfatal firearm injuries or cases in which firearms were used as deterrents without being fired.
Interpret and portray the data in a way that your claim appears valid to the uncritical public, although it is usually the logical equivalent, for example, of something like this:
A study was done where premature death rates of a group of people who had been to the hospital were higher compared to a control group who hadn't. It was concluded that hospital visits greatly increase the risk of premature deaths.
Finally, rinse and repeat as part of a never-ending push for ever more restrictive firearm legislation.

Look for much more of this in Washington state once the "office of firearm violence prevention" gets started on their "work".

LOL.....
Out of Seattle, WA? Rrrright....all that extra tax money from gun shops sales. Wait....are there any gun shops left in Seattle?

Whatever....so then.....
Throw in JAMA and next add the new "studies" to come from the CDC (if/when the Dems get their way). Rrrright....and the conclusion(s) will probably be the same......

"We need to disarm AMERICA. It's a health issue."

Another Identity Politics skew perhaps? So....why are we even spending money on research of this nature? Clearly......

Dont_like_guns.jpg

And, there is the 2nd A to the Constitution.

Excuse me......but to some, the 2A actually says......

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed, unless I say it's reasonable.

OMG?!?!o_O
