don't need quiet where I live
my son impressed me this evening
he tells me just one 10/22 by the front door isn't enough
he suggested I keep the Ruger with the red dot scope by the front door, where he can grab it if needed,
BUT, put one of the other Rugers ( have 4)by the sliding door with a full view of the deck
then put bowls of cat food out on the deck, when our cameras detect racoons out on the porch, he and I will rush into the living room, I'll grab the 10/22 with the Leupold 4X scope, lay on the floor aiming out the door, then he will slide open the curtains and open the slider
I then have a clear field of fire across the deck, with no neighbor structure in line for 300 yrds
my wife is so pissed at the raccoons for killing the baby Emden, she agreed to allow me to shoot the 10/22 from in the house, have a sheet hung to catch the brass
