Produced only in small numbers in recent years, a resurgence in demand means we brought the bobbed Commander back into regular production. One of the few California-legal models in our 1911 line, it has a loyal and growing following in the Golden State. With stainless steel slide and frame, its flats are brushed and rounds are bead blasted. With snag-free Tritium sights and a bobbed mainspring housing, it is an excellent candidate for concealed carry.

What is it that makes this model CA compliant vs the other models?

I think all DW Commander Bobtails (and Heritage) were CA compliant, something to do with their age. I recall contacting a FFL in CA to confirm a potential buyer for my CBOB and he told me that CA only allowed two DW semis into the state.
