Yeah alot of our forests are almost too overgrown for a prescribed burn.
There was a very good write up in Bugle earlier this year about prescribed burns in Oklahoma I believe.
Wish that would have taken hold over here.

Even Kitzhaber acknowledged that the hands-off approach to forest management has produced a situation that could burn up in our faces anytime.
But no one cares, as long as their precious trees don't get touched.

So the prions are on the rise, as is hoof-rot and hair-loss, and we've got forests we CAN'T burn, for fear of them raging out of control.
I think it's about time to GTFO.
