Montana Rifle Company .308. Purchased impulsively and don't really have any use for it. It's accurate and can be yours for $1100 in Corvallis. This description was provided buy the guy I bought the rifle from.
This started out as a new short stainless action from Montana Rifle Company. I then had a Shilen match barrel with a 1-10 twist installed by Stan Jackson out of Anchorage Alask...a. Stan did the chambering and trued the action as well as doing a trigger job on the rifle. It was then glass bedded in a McMillan stock and the barrel is free floated. Stock is a "McSwirly" and is a deep green with a hint of black and white. Recoil pad is a 1 inch Decelerator. Barrel is 22 inches long and the LOP of the stock is 13 3/8 inches. I would estimate the trigger breaks at about 3-3 1/4 pounds with no creep. Round count down the barrel is less than 50 and it is easily capable of 1 MOA or better based upon the few loads I shot through it. Rifle weighs 7 pounds 5 ounces on my scale.
The cheap scope and mounts aren't included. Looks like crap anyway. MRC.JPG MRC2.JPG MRC3.JPG
