Sorry I couldn't be more help. If your friend "Joey" does reload, I'd suggest looking online at a website called Shooters Pro Shop (or more commonly referred to as SPS). They are a Division of Nosler. When I used to shoot the 300 win mag, I loaded 200gr. Nosler partitions and called it good for everything. Deer, elk, bear, etc. etc. From my experience, they are very accurate in everything from 30-06 to 300 RUM. I've bought a ton of seconds and blemished bullets from SPS and they have worked flawlessly, but a lot easier on the wallet. Here are some 200gr. partitions that are on sale right now:

The 10 shot group and elk I shot in the above pics were the "blemished" bullets. As you can see, they work great.
