Build weighs 7.2 lbs with no optic/mag. The build concept was simply to build the most accurate AR I could using the side-charging X-Products/Gibbz upper. Accuracy-enhancing features:

Zero tolerance fit between X-Gibbz upper and and Rise lower (very tight fit)
Odin Works stainless barrel with 1 MOA guarantee
JP Silent Captured Spring to smooth out recoil and resonance
SA clamp style adjustable gas block to lower recoil and resonance
3.5lb flat trigger with extremely crisp break

The Gibbz side charging system is extremely solid if you are not familiar. The side charger interfaces with a special Gibbz cam pin inserted into the BCG to operate, so it does not reciprocate when cycling, and it firmly locks forward with a detent so it doesn't rattle. The cam pin can be removed and put in any mil spec BCG. The Gibbz/X upper also has a cool little door where the charging handle would be that allows the BCG to come out freely when the lower is separated, yet is tightly forced closed when the lower is attached (see pictures). The ultra-wide ejection port (no dust cover) of this upper also means greater reliability. Forward assist can be done with the side charger. The pic rail in the standard forward assist position can be used for a backup red dot as it aligns perfectly to the bore in that 90 degree position.

The rifle has seen around 500 rds of action in all sorts of conditions. I have not had any malfunctions whatsoever using several different kinds of ammo. Accuracy is typically around 1 MOA as advertised depending on ammo and conditions. The cycling and feel is unbelievably smooth for an AR.
