Super condition, late 1960's Browning Hi Power tastefully and reliably upgraded by Karl Sokol of Chestnut Mountain Sports in Vermont ( <broken link removed> ). Work includes:
Throat and polish barrel, chamber, tune extractor, deburr breach face and firing pin hole
Crowned barrel
Rounded and smoothed trigger
Modified hammer to semi bob
Trigger job (4 ish lbs)
Stippled front and rear of frame
Beveled mag well
Dehorned entire pistol
Installed Wolff 18.5 recoil spring and fp spring
Installed Cylinder and Slide extended safety
Machined slide and installed Novak tritium sights (dot front, bar rear)
Refinished pistol in their matte black Mountain Tuff coating
Installed Spegal presentation grade Cocobolo grips
Over $900 in custom work performed not including the price of the Hi Power
Asking $1050.00 and may consider Smith and Wesson 4" 586/686 or similar .357 revolver for partial trade.
I've fired this pistol 200-250 rounds since work performed, unknown how many original rounds fired. The pistol is reliable and accurate. Comes with one magazine but no box. Thanks for looking.
