The deceased's sister goes into full blown outrage that her brother got shot 4 times in the chest. Would 3 shots have been OK with her, or just 1 to the head?

If someone breaks into my house with obvious hostile intent, the last thing I care about is how to make it "fair" for the criminals. These morons truly believe that we should roll out the welcome mat for criminals.

His grandson made his choices and paid the consequences. He can go pound sand. And screw the media for giving this more fame than it deserved.

When someone breaks into your house when occupants are present, "hostile intent" goes without saying, seems to me.
