Actually I was really surprised at the insurance on the bike. I had insurance with Progressive, they paid me about a third more than I expected and I had a check in hand in like three weeks. Couldn't of been better. Now if only the insurance on the shop was the same. Its been almost 10 weeks since the fire and I still have no idea where I stand or how it will go. It sounds like I will be lucky to be settled with them by mid summer. In the mean time I dont have an income.
My first bike - at work - the photo I had on the craigslist ad.

Here is my last race bike before I gave up racing for my health. At my age it takes twice as long to heal when you go down.
Its not something I say off hand. I have owned liter sport bikes. I find myself going 160 MPH every chance I get and pushing it from there occasionally. I have had a couple of close calls at those speeds and come to understand I have no business having one.
Too late. I put Vance and Hines on it.
