When I built the long shot bolt gun,. I went to a well known smith in Tacoma. He told me for the shooting I do, the Shilen would do well.
After He did all kinds of cool stuff to it, even with a Smith Ent flash hider, it does 1/4 groups at a 200 yard zero, and I hit a tomato paste can at 550 yard.
Best $300 buck barrel I ever bought. He did try to get me to change from odd six to 300 Win Mag, but the odd six shoots right with the Win Mags, with out the shoulder pain.
