Story: https://www.thedailybeast.com/death-of-jacqueline-avant-wife-of-clarence-avant-in-beverly-hills-home-not-a-random-attack-police-say

Glad they caught the perp but the story reveals why Glock is the most returned handgun in America. Not safe that even a criminal in the act of committing a crime shot himself in the foot.

Only way to "safely" EDC a Glock is by crossing your fingers there isn't anything in the holster that moves the trigger back in the shape of what the trigger might think is a finger.

What if you're on the ground, pulse racing trying to escape a mob, there is debris that gets scooped up by your holster and as you get up and put your pistol in the holster without looking bang you shoot your foot.

Or in the heat of the moment you press the trigger while removing the pistol from holster.

More people have gotten their foot shot off from Glocks than any other gun.

Your adoration or the emotional tingles you get from the name Glock or the propaganda about it's "reliability" does not negate statistics and facts, Glocks aren't a status symbol, toy or a movie it's real life which require real tools.

It's like saying your 5 shot, 10 inch barrel revolver is a better option for EDC than a P320 because cowboys used them. Note: Revolvers are awesome

I don't recommend any police department use these things. https://www.latimes.com/opinion/op-ed/la-oe-owens-glock-accidents-20150508-story.html

Even the 15m contract the military gave Glock forced them to put safeties on them.

"Those guns and just unsafe, you'll never convince me otherwise." The topic of conversation was, of course, the Austrian Wonder-Nine, the Plastic Fantastic, the hardest working pistol in show business today…the GLOCK 17."

Did Gaston Glock Invent the Negligent Discharge?

https://www.studentofthegun.com/articles/firearms-training/gaston-glock-invent-negligent-discharge/

Most people who appendix carry Glocks are newbs, rookies or similar to a reckless motorcyclist weaving in and out of traffic at high speed because of the rush.

Whatever decision tree you used to get a Glock is warped and displays poor judgement especially in the face of so many great options out there.

Either way when I see someone with a Glock I make sure to GTFO

Suspect in the Jacqueline Avant murder supposedly shot himself in the foot with an AR15.

The rest of your thread is simple bloviating in an attempt to stir up a nonsensical argument.

Thread closed.
