covington shooting area?

I checked out the legal areas, roads are rough and the areas are small. So I went to greenwater fs70 near intersection with fs 72. There is a closer place on 7013 witch is OK too. I want to get a USGS map and poke around to find a good area to set up a run-n-gun or at least a multi-distance, wide angle range for rapid fire type shooting.

I made it up to where I was just fine (7710/7720) with my civic. Just saying...

I went out to the Wilkeson area last week and punched lots of holes, it is a nice 45 minute drive from Auburn. Yeah, the road is OK, just gotta go a little slow and dodge potholes. The first spot on 7720 is a little small, 100' with small backstops. The next spot by the creek looks bigger and seems nicer, but parking for street cars is across the road I will try it out when my rifle gets a scope.
