Oh I didn't know they only took his gun, I thought they took all the guns in the house. Interesting distinction for sure. Yea, I see no reason for the guns to be taken either.

Unless I missed something? All I read they took was his AR.

Their lawyer had possession of her gun. The police would have to get it from him. If they don't try, it is a sure indication that there is no proper charge against the couple.

I think the DA just wanted to disarm them to posture in favor of BLM.

It's a weird situation for sure, and these folks got tons of money and lawyers. They aren't gonna spend a second in jail or prison, maybe fine at best. They can pay their way out, if it was one of us I doubt we'd able to get as much media time or focus on us.

It just referenced that they were going after the guns in the video. Hopefully they had some other guns available.

Well my life does matter, and I do happen to be White.

I just don't think we'll ever get anywhere in this country with all the race stuff going around, and all the people who identify by race and ethnicity above all else.

Sure, most of my ancestors were from Europe and happened to have lower levels on pigment in their skin. So what? I don't particularly identify as "white"; I don't wake up every day and think of my "whiteness".

I'm all for racial equality and justice, but personally I think Martin Luther King was onto something when he suggested that people should "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character". What's wrong with that?

I see no reason for the guns to be taken either.

Here's the reason:

Given, this couple isn't winning any awards for gun safety or tactical stance. But there were well over a hundred people who entered a destroyed gate onto private property. They came out to deter anyone from approaching. The safe gun owners in all of us cringe, but the protector in all of us are scanning their sectors of fire for closing threats. They were defending their lives and property in an awkward, but effective manner.
