Full? word on the street is there's lots of room over there. I heard Troy is niceIdaho is full. Burn Portland and Seattle to the ground and start over.
I hear ya. Geographically I think most of OR is gun friendly but the Metro area and now lot's of the populace west of the cascades have gone a different direction. We have plenty of legislative districts that are marginally anti gun and could use a boost from 2A supporters moving in to them. It would be nice to see them come in from other States or Oregon districts that are strongly anti-gun.Boise could use some help, it's kinda purple, but the rest of the state is bright red. Oddly enough, even the lefties don't say much about grabbing. Hugely unpopular idea here but I fear that in years to come the fudds might "compromise" if pressured -- just like they do in every other state.
Idaho is becoming full of people from California, just like Colorado and Texas. Unfortunately they are bringing their voting patterns along with them.Idaho is full. Burn Portland and Seattle to the ground and start over.
There is some truth to that but it's not all bad. Every Californian I've gotten to know since I fled Oregon has been very conservative and freedom loving. Granted, I live outside the Boise metroplex. The downside is that they don't appear to be all that politically active. Like most of us on this forum, they basically want to be left alone to make decisions for themselves.Idaho is becoming full of people from California, just like Colorado and Texas. Colorado is another viable option for people in Washington who want to escape the insanity. Your conservative votes go much farther in Colorado than they would in Oregon and the Denver/Fort Collins/CO Springs area has a much stronger economy and job market and lower cost of living than PDX area. I am a native Oregonian who left my home state years ago because I couldn't survive with the high cost of living and high taxes there.Keep in mind that not every Californian is a coastal liberal. Many who fled California, like me, were raised in much more conservative states. Also, 2A supporters can't move to Oregon unless there are jobs available.
Could Oregon Siphon Off Enough 2A Supporters From WA & CA To Remain 2A Friendly?
Voters are also apathetic in Oregon, so you could fill our state with Pro-2A allies, and folks still wouldn't get off their couch to mail a ballot.
