That's what conspiracy theories will do. No thinking or being rational, just pent up paranoia and anxiety. Unbelievable.

Oh, FFS. These looney-toons are a danger to themselves and others. Here's hoping they throw the book at the idiot.

Man -- what a POS company: Hobby Lobby defies shutdown orders, reopens some stores

In a separate leaked note sent early last week, executives wrote that the company "is going to make every effort to continue working the employees."

The employee, who is also a military veteran with post traumatic stress disorder, said his attempts to contact the Ohio Department of Health and the office of Governor Mike DeWine have gone unanswered.

"My wife is pretty furious. We're trying to take care of my mother who had knee surgery and also has multiple sclerosis, which is an autoimmune disease. I don't want to bring it home and get her infected," he said. "I used to love working for this company, but since this pandemic I've seen how callous and irresponsible it has been."

Stockpiled ventilators don't work

BS, if they were needed, they would be fixed in a heartbeat.

More fuel thrown at the fire by the MSM.

They might as well just start reporting inflated deaths. No sense in even trying to not make it sound like the federal government is capable of breathing, much less running a country.

For instance, banks tend to have more than 1 drive up lane. Usually 3-4. Usually 1-2 are never used. Ever. They make better spider or birds nests than useable drive up lanes.

Low and behold, in the coarse of two weeks or less, I know at least 8 buddies at my old company that have been working non stop to get ALL OF THEM up and running.

Id say I'm surprised by that N.Y. Times article, but I'm not.

The areas that did social distancing etc early on weren't hit as bad. The ones who waited got hammered. NY is probably a special case due to density though I suppose.

Please tell me this is a joke. Article from March 29th, not April 1st. If true I'm starting to feel less sorry for people in the big city especially after watching video after video of politicians telling people "Sure, go to the parade" and "Nothing to worry about, take the subway" and "Don't forget to visit China town" a month ago then flop over to it's all Trumps fault because he's being racist and didn't act soon enough...

Shades of Waste, Fraud and Abuse.

Or maybe, some amount of skullduggery is or was afoot?

Hummm.....maybe, sort of like with Defense Contracts? Cost overruns? The Govt needs to throw more money at the problems. HA, Ha, ha.... Overpromise and under deliver (or never deliver)?

The U.S. Tried to Build a New Fleet of Ventilators. The Mission Failed.

The contract got signed and money got paid. Someone made a big chunk of money. But....what do the taxpayers have?

Aloha, Mark

The people in NYC, their City government and the State government, their know it all attitudes; they made their own purgatory. Sorry, but a lot of innocent people passed because of the irresponsible behavior of the people in NYC, southern NY State and Long Island. When they were told to social distance, they left the City and the metropolitan NY areas and traveled about and infected their neighboring states. Hard to feel sorry for people that maybe intelligent and act stupid and shoot them selves in the foot.

Perhaps NYC residents (and NY State residents) need to wake up to something like this?

NOT for reopening. But for closing/isolating the infected areas.

Aloha, Mark

PS....THEN, think about, I-5 and I-205, into or out of Portland, OR. HA, Ha, ha.....

Wow, thought I was the only one who was thinking the political leadership in NYC and NY State are responsible for the area being the epicenter of the US, with their flippant attitude about subway and bus usage, encouraging people to carry on as normal as recently as three or four weeks ago...

Now that they've unleashed hell on their constituents, they want to point the finger at the federal government. Geez, that incompetent Cuomo finally today closed the playgrounds... What a cluster fubar...

Hope people are paying attention to the incompetence of those they've elected...

The people that they elected the City mayor and the Governor, and cheered for their appointment; are a mirror image of the voting majority. They do not learn from their mistakes. For all those New Yorker's that came out here and spread their social disease of antigun; are of the same ilk of those that elected their governors and mayors. Voting has consequences. Many are just like the antis that moved from California and ruined Oregon, Idaho and Washington and Colorado.

New York City Government Policies and NY State policies and lack of preparation are transporting their citizens to perdition?

The disease specialist I respect most just gave another interview a couple days ago with a medical doctor who also has a background in disease and cancer research, Dr. Peter Attia. It is nice to have an educated talk show host interviewing a disease expert, rather than a layman in this field, who always needs to be educated about the basics. It is as the two of them really were brainstorming and helping each other express their thoughts and gave such a detailed, yet easy to understand knowledge of the situation and the research that has and is currently being conducted.

The outlook is very challenging, but I respect Dr. Osterholm's opinions and research, as well as the CIDRAP organization where he heads beyond any other researcher or organization. In fact, he has literally been almost prophetic in his entire outlook of Coronavirus and wrote books about this scenario years ago. OF course, since he has a more sober view and has spent so many years in depth of research, he will be ignored by the mainstream, for fear of invoking potential panic (In my opinion). If people would have heeded his advice, we would have (and still could be) in better shape than what I see for the future.

Please tell me this is a joke. ...

Doubt it is a joke:

Another, though the only thing the college cared about was being PC:

Also in Canada, though there the controversy was that it was non-PC:

And of course, non-themed parties are deadly:
