- 97% of the chicken breasts they tested harbored bacteria that could make you sick.
- Put chicken in a plastic bag at the store to avoid spreading any juices from the packaging.
- Be vigilant about safe handling, preparation, cooking, and knowing and cleaning contaminated surfaces. This may include having two cutting boards to prevent cross contamination.
- Washing the chicken before cooking can spread bacteria beyond the sink.
- Think about paying more for chicken without antibiotics.
