Like the title says, I am considering a Mega MA-TEN .308 AR build. I've been talking with Curt down at Curt's Discount Shooter's Supply about it.

I've read all I can find about the MA-TEN and it seems like a nice base for a .308.

Any input, experience, etc you are willing to share?

Mega's receivers are top notch. I've had a DPMS and now have a mega and couldn't be happier.

Only thing I'd add is to get ahold of Coctailer or JC Weaponry. Both top notch guys! If I had the scratch for a 308 build the MA-ten set is the one that catches my eye time and again!

with 2 m16's and countless AR's, I have never once used the forward assist. IMO if the bolt doesnt close, something is wrong or to dirty ;)
