This part of latest 2A infringment is a problem:

SEC. 12002. DEFINING ''ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS''.
20 Section 921 of title 18, United States Code, is
21 amended—
22 (1) in paragraph (21)(C), by striking ''with the
23 principal objective of livelihood and profit'' and in-
24 serting ''to predominantly earn a profit'';

(2) by redesignating paragraphs (22) through
2 (29) as paragraphs (23) through (30), respectively;
3 and
4 (3) by inserting after paragraph (21) the fol-
5 lowing:
6 ''(22) The term 'to predominantly earn a profit'
7 means that the intent underlying the sale or disposition
8 of firearms is predominantly one of obtaining pecuniary
9 gain, as opposed to other intents, such as improving or
10 liquidating a personal firearms collection: Provided, That
11 proof of profit shall not be required as to a person who
12 engages in the regular and repetitive purchase and disposi-
13 tion of firearms for criminal purposes or terrorism. For
14 purposes of this paragraph, the term 'terrorism' means ac-
15 tivity, directed against United States persons, which—
16 ''(A) is committed by an individual who is not
17 a national or permanent resident alien of the United
18 States;
19 ''(B) involves violent acts or acts dangerous to
20 human life which would be a criminal violation if
21 committed within the jurisdiction of the United
22 States; and
23 ''(C) is intended—
24 ''(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian popu-
25 lation;

1 ''(ii) to influence the policy of a govern-
2 ment by intimidation or coercion; or
3 ''(iii) to affect the conduct of a government
4 by assassination or kidnapping.''.

"There are two HUGE problems with this legislation, especially for conservatives: it legitimizes both federal intervention in state matters and "red flag" laws. "

#RedFlag

"- a mix of support for mental health and school security services and changes to some gun laws, including strengthening the ban on domestic abusers possessing firearms and providing incentives to expand the federal background check system for prospective buyers under 21."

It will potentially define many sellers of firearms as illegally selling without an FFL.

🤔

Did Feinstein Just Sabotage The New Gun Bill?

"The Supreme Court's action today, as someone noted in the comments, also gives Republicans who signed on to the "compromise" bill an out if they want to say that they need to "study" the decision before supporting new legislation."
If this gun bill and its Red Flag section becomes law then that will be all for me participating in gun forums like this. Everything I write (including everything I've ever wrote online) could become ammunition for a paranoid Karen to strip me of my Second Amendment rights. Feinstein is right up there with Brandon, stupid as a turnip, but I'm actually glad for her stupidity in this case. Her strategically stupid amendment may actually save the country and tank this gun bill. Hopefully the RINOs won't be so weak-kneeded as to actually approve her amendment and allow this gun bill to move forward.

A bunch of us should start sending in that we think both Joe and his son should be red flagged. :s0140:

Nope, there are at least 13 traitors in our midst.

The Red Flag portion needs to his SCOTUS on due process issues and the right to confront your acuser soon! I also want to see commensurate punishment as well as civil action against someone who falsely reports someone.

Did Feinstein's amendment make it in the final bill being voted on? I read the article but it didn't say.
In a national address last month following the Uvalde shooting, Biden advocated for a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, raising the age to be able to buy a gun from 18 to 21, universal background checks, and allowing gun manufacturers to be sued if their weapons are used in violence. None of those measures were adopted in the final version of the bill.
