Playing Hardball In Connecticut

Lets just hope enough citizens will stand up and make a statement... either vote them out or leave. Personally I think they should vote them out. Leaving will just be a cowardly move. However, if the citizens leave, and populous drops, then that makes a statement.

If you want to make a statement (boycott), hit em in the pocketbook. By leaving the state, which many will, they are actually cutting the tax base for these greedy effin politicians.
I say, if ya can't vote/recall em out then move to a free state and organize. Come Hell or high water these gun/people controlling fascists will fall!!!

I hope there are more recalls or flat out politicians losing their jobs during their next elections. This 'feel good" knee jerk emotional legislation does nothing to prevent crime whatsoever. Follow the laws on the books, or the voters will find representatives who will....

I don't see that as the best move. Doing so will simply induce more of the social progressive tyrannic's to fill the void left by those leaving. Much better that they rally with the TEA and do what folks in Colorado did -- recall the bastards who begin treading on 2nd Amendment Rights. Send them packing like Morse and Giron... who, I will guarantee you, would never have thought what happened would. :s0133:

PTR Arms is packing up to leave the state. I am a proud owner now of 2 of their rifles and in a few days a 7.62 x 39 pistol built on their receiver and barrel. Their phone number ends in 1776

Support them!

I like the Toys for Totalitarians campaign that Mike Vanderboegh is running. Mailing magazines to politicians and news media members is great. I really like the accompanying letters despite errors in them.

Re: Your award in the Sipsey Street Irregulars Toys for Totalitarians Campaign.

Congratulations! Enclosed you will find my belated Christmas gift to you, one twenty-eight-round standard capacity AR-15 magazine in 7.62x39 caliber, manufactured by C Products Defense, Inc. of Bradenton, Florida. You have been awarded this gift as part of what my friend David Codrea calls my "Toys for Totalitarians Campaign." We had a few magazines left over after sending them to the governors of Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland and New York so we decided to select certain state legislators who likewise deserved our scorn as self-declared domestic enemies of the Constitution and your name was among five at the top our list! So I selected a magazine for you in the caliber of 7.62x39, for that is the round originally designed for Mikhail Kalashnikov‘s AK-47. Given your collectivist politics, I thought it was an appropriate choice, since Kalashnikov was an unrepentant Soviet to the end of his days. (Kalashnikov, of course, just crossed over to meet his Maker. I'm sure his conversation with God about Stalin was an interesting one.) From one collectivist to another, I thought. Dulce et decorum est.

I first violated your recent citizen disarmament law on 18 April of this year, a fact which I declared in a speech on the Connecticut state house steps on the 20th of that month:
On Thursday I smuggled a half-dozen 30 round AR-15 standard capacity magazines into Connecticut in deliberate disobedience of the new state diktat. So to Martin Looney, Mike Williams, Larry Cafero and John McKinney I'd like to say this:
I JUST COMMITTED A "D" CLASS FELONY, YOU TYRANNICAL MORONS -- PROVE IT -- WHICH YOU CAN'T -- AND CATCH ME IF YOU CAN.

Since then, as I told your governor in a similar award letter (which I have thoughtfully enclosed for your perusal), my friends and I have smuggled into Connecticut more than fifty such magazines and transferred them to Connecticut citizens in defiance of your ill-considered diktat. Since October, we have also smuggled in quantities of small arms ammunition and transferred them as well to previously law-abiding citizens whose only crime is to flout the unconstitutional and tyrannical statute that you petty tyrants have created.

But I send this Toys for Totalitarians award to you as a reminder that there is no law that you can pass that liberty-minded Americans -- including patriotic Connecticut citizens -- cannot defy, resist, evade and smuggle in opposition to it.

We will continue to do so until you all are swept out of power and this hateful, intolerable act repealed or you try to stop us by tyrannically working your will upon us by dispatching armed men to our doors.

As I said in the speech, "Any time you feel froggy."

Sincerely, and hoping you have a happy socialist Kwanzaa (a holiday invented by an FBI COINTELPRO stooge),

LOL - A friend was on the board for a local range where I used to live - we ran a "magazine seeding" campaign where range members would seed any doctor's / dentist's / optometrist's office they went to with gun magazines (the reading kind) that they were done with. My wife worked at UCD med center so one night when she was working we took hundreds and distributed them in the doctor's waiting rooms throughout the hospital. Just a little educational reading for the masses.

It's happening because eternal vigilance is the price for freedom and Cali and Conn citizens sat on their arses and did little to stop it

Drew, that sounds like a great idea, anyone can do it, too. I have some old beater AR15 mags that will work!

Yep. Here would be a great starting place for those people to start reading ....http://www.northwestfirearms.com/le...regon-capitol-january-19th-6.html#post1027494

"I would have thought that someone who lobbied so hard for CHL would have a clearer picture of how those laws were introduced, maintained, and have relatively been unchanging as of late. You made blatant, false statements regarding protests that you said "THEY SCARED THE MORONS THAT WRITE AND VOTE FOR LAWS now firearms are banned from the capital (unless you have a CHL)" when in reality it was illegal without a CHL well before the rallies of late. If you allow for exception you give into the notion that "they" have authority to regulate what is and is not permissible regardless of legality. Just because it is not the norm for a man to walk down the street with an AR15 does not mean that he intends to do harm, in fact I would wager more people walk down the street with an AR15 intending not to do harm than vice verse. If you with to give up a right just for more "bargaining power" you are no better than those that give up "liberties for false sense of security." Every day it is becoming more frequent that people are treated as guilty until proven innocent. People are told not asked to lay down liberties in the sense of "needing to do SOMETHING" when in reality the somethings do little to nothing. The political elite lie and refuse to listen to their constituents. No, but again with all the but the scraps of any respect I can muster, the time for talk is over. The time for negotiation is over. You can't negotiate with those that don't listen. The time for giving up freedoms is over, no matter how many lives it is intended to save. My freedoms are worth more than your dead. My freedoms are worth more than scared politicians that are worried about functions that cause "no incidence." "

Awesome!

The Olympia rally last year featured thousands of open carriers. I open packed both a PTR 91 and an AR 15. Looks like they got the message, at least for that year

That's the beauty of it. I'm trying to find some that I have to send or find some POS mags for less than $5 for the purpose. There's too many of these swine, I'm on budget and need to maximize my funds. If those politicians refuse to acknowledge the Constitution, they need to know people are watching and some of us won't give up. When I first read about this, I saw civil disobedience that would make Thoreau proud.
