So far I have only used round ball in my Remington 1858 Uberti repro. But I would like to find a 200gr or heavier conical or Kaido style bullet or mold. I have seen a couple yt videos that mentioned the Kaido 240gr are to tall to load in the 1858. Any suggestions are appreciated.

There are shorty conical molds available but many people resort to opening up the frame recess to allow a taller conical. It will require bubba dremmeling and finish correction.

Back when I was playing with these I had Lee molds for both the 1858 and for my Ruger. They seemed to work great. Like all this stuff it will be of course hard to find right now. IIRC the Lee ones I had would allow me to load about 30 gr's of Black under them and still seat the slug.
