*****SOLD*****
Greetings all!
I'd like to sell this nice Colt Trooper NOW FOR $750 CASH.
This gun was made in 1968 and has a 6" barrel. It is the older style, I-frame, Trooper that preceded the Mk. III, from an era when they still had "V" mainspring and hand-fitted parts (learn more here: https://revivaler.com/colt-trooper/). I am the third owner, bought it from a co-worker over a decade ago, and have personally shot several hundred rounds (mostly .38sp) through it. It is a very good shooter, and in overall quite good condition, one of the nicest guns I have ever owned. There is light holster wear in the bluing at muzzle tip. Comes with a vintage leather holster, also in good condition.
Open to trade possibilities, please PM any offers with picture. More interested in cash.
(Apologies for the bluish wash on several of the pictures, was working with a mediocre cell-phone camera and mediocre lighting.)
Thanks,
Josh
Comparison between the older style "I" frame as used on the Colt Python and pre-1969 Trooper (left), and the Mark III's "J" frame with stainless steel coil main spring (right). (Picture courtesy smith-wessonforum.com)
The gun I am selling is like the one on the left.
