A Colt Historical letter is paperwork. A Chinese reproduction box and papers can be had, but a Colt letter is still worth something.

Colt letter is really worth nothing, serial number tells you what year. Now if it was a bright stainless or E nickel to authenticate the finish, that's a different story..
