WTS: Colt National Match 1911 45ACP - custom built in 1960's
NOW $700
I have for sale a custom hand built 1911 in 45ACP. This is built with a Colt National Match slide, NM barrel, NM bushing, and NM adjustable sights. It is fitted to an Essex arms frame (very low 4 digit serial number 8xxx). Based on my internet research, these Colt/Essex guns were built in the late 1960's by individual gunsmiths for competition. It has extensive hand work on the entire gun. It is VERY tight, has a perfect trigger, and extremely accurate.
I traded for this on the forums a few months ago. I'm selling it because I don't shoot it much and am looking for something a little more practical for IDPA and my go-to gun. A gun like this should be enjoyed by someone who appreciates the collectible aspects of it, more than I do.
Comes with two Colt mags and the original soft range case I bought with it.
Prefer FTF near Auburn, WA; but willing to ship to FFL at your expense. Willing to drive partway to meet, or will be at the WAC show this weekend.
High res photos on request.
(also for sale at <broken link removed> )
