Mid 70's vintage detective special, 3rd issue. This is .38 special, blued finish, 6 rounds with what appear to be the original grips. There is some bluing wear near the muzzle and the cylinder. I have no idea of the "round count" - I bought this used. It shoots very nice and has a very smooth double action trigger. Will throw in 2 HKS speedloaders as well. $500.00 FTF in the Milwaukie area with an Oregon driver's license or ID card and you must be able to legally possess this firearm.
I don't think your pictures do much for the gun, make it look kinda bad. Just thought I would mention it.
It's not marked as such. It was made before there was +P....its steel frame and all steel construction. It's actually heavier than my airweight whichis marked for +P. I read +p won't hurt it.
I once owned an early 70's model and asked 2 gunsmiths if it would be safe to run +p ammo in it and they both said absolutely. Would snag this one as that's still "the one I wish I'd never sold" but there's a Sig with my name on it at the moment.
