I've got two very nice black leather holsters, fitting the Colt Detective Special. Both right hand for 2" barrel.
The gun has been sold so I can't use them anymore. They are both quality pieces from local companies, for a gun worthy of fine leather.
First up...OWB pancake with thumb-break, made by A.E. Nelson ($65 new). High ride, 15°-20° forward cant and very comfortable. Basically, I asked them to make it as high and far forward as can be, and still be stable. It is by far the most comfortable and useful OWB I've ever owned. All my future OWB holsters for guns of this approximate size will be based on this design.
Broken in but in great condition. The nice thing about a broken in holster, is that it's past the point where it's most abrasive to bluing.
Next up...OWB (horse hide) open top pancake with hammer shields, made by RKBA ($45 new). Neutral cant high ride (cylinder above belt).
This is brand new and beautifully made. I wanted to give appendix carry a try. I did not take into account my ever expanding gut. So, no appendix carry for me.
